January 2016 Work Medal Ceremony – Celebrating our French Colleagues

A traditional ceremony took place at Magal Dauphinoise Thomson on Thursday 14th January.

After a speech by the Managing Director Jean-Michel Sauvage wishing his staff a happy New Year, it was time to personally recognize and congratulate individuals for their work and fidelity to the Company, after which Jean-Michel awarded 4 medals;

  • 1 Silver Medal to Luc Chouteau for 20 years of service,
  • 1 Vermeil Medal to Bruno Benacchio for 30 years of service,
  • 1 Gold Medal to Elisabeth Michelet for 35 years of service at Dauphinoise Thomson and
  • 1 Grand-Gold Medal to Fatiha Boudam for 40 years of service of which 32 for were for the company.

Such an occasion allowed soft drinks to be shared and a pastry called “galettes des Rois” which is part of the the festival that takes place around Epiphany, the twelfth day of Christmas, when the wise men visited baby Jesus. According to tradition, the ‘galette des rois’, was to “draw the kings” to the Epiphany.

There was also a buffet prepared by the members of the CE (work council) which was enjoyed by all.
