Gamil is an automotive executive with more than 35 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, leading successful business transformations and his current role as Group CEO of Magal Engineering.

In 1987 Gamil was part of the management buyout (MBO) of Coventry Pressworks, managing the company until 1997. Here, he turned it around from loss making to making a profit. All the while implementing the Toyota production system and enabling the business to become a European showcase company.

He left to join the Adwest Group of companies as Operations Director, leading a turnaround of Rearsby Automotive Ltd, implementing quality systems and lean manufacturing. Gamil took over as MD at Adwest Steering in 1998, once again managing change to breakthrough results in quality and profitability.

In 2002 Gamil led the MBO of Adwest Engineering, adding a further buyout of Dura Mechanical assemblies in 2003, resulting in the Magal Engineering Group.

An expert in transforming companies, Gamil and his team managed to bring Magal Engineering to ‘Best in Class’ status for Achievement, Best SME, Best Financial Performance, Best Innovation and Best Factory awards. Magal Engineering was also ranked 84th in The Sunday Times Top 200 companies for the Fastest UK Company with Overseas Growth.

Now Magal Engineering Group is a preferred supplier to Ford, JLR, Daimler and Renault Nissan, and has companies located in the UK, France, India, Turkey and China.

Mark is an industrial engineer by trade. He started his career at the Atomic Energy Authority and moved into Industrial Design at Daresbury Labs (Science Energy Research Council).

He has held a number of senior positions with Renold PLC (UK and USA), Jones & Shipman PLC, Precision Technologies Group and Black & Decker.

Mark was CEO of Spear & Jackson Group until January 2014 when he left to become CEO of Arlington.

Always working with a passion to provide OEMs with streamlined supply chains and associated benefits, Mark is adept in international markets and operations, particularly China, India and the USA.

Group CFO, Arlington Industries Group

Simon Greenhalgh is an award-winning chartered certified accountant (FCCA) with over 20 years’ post qualification experience, having worked in industry since leaving practice in 1998.

He has significant international board level experience and has worked for a number of different companies and business structures, consistently increasing shareholder value.

Simon has also worked successfully with a number of Groups in corporate finance and restructuring situations, including turnarounds, acquisitions and disposals.

Managing Director, Magal AWT

Steve has over 26 years’ experience within tier one automotive supplier bases, working previously as an operations manager at several companies, and specialising in exterior/interior mirrors, lighting, steering and thermal control units.

He has full profit and loss responsibility for the Magal AWT facility, reporting directly to the main Shareholders, directing and controlling the Company’s operations, and giving strategic guidance and direction to the management team to ensure that the business achieves its mission and objectives.

This liaison with the management team ensures that customer demands are exceeded and that the correct skilled resource is available. Plus that the highest possible standards of health and safety are maintained.

Davinder Bains profile picture
Davinder Bains
Magal Engineering Group COO

Davinder is highly experienced in his role, having previously held senior positions within quality and process engineering at Magal Group companies. As well as this he has served as quality and manufacturing manager at Adwest Eng. Plc and Dura Automotive.

Davinder received a HND in Mechanical Engineering at De Montfort University in Leicestershire, whilst working a BL technician apprenticeship. He then began his career with a British Leyland Cars subsidiary, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and program management.

Responsible for the successful achievement of the objectives and the execution of strategy, Davinder is ultimately responsible for the company’s performance and profit and loss account. He also heads up the Group’s ‘Centre of Excellence’ for control cables and mechanical spare wheel winch assemblies.

CEO, Magal Tech, India

Sridhar is a mechanical engineer who specialised in automotive engineering and gained a Post Graduate in Business Management.

He joined Western Thomson India, an Adwest Group Company, in 1984 as graduate engineer and by 2005 was the Member of the Board, before joining XMOLD Polymers in 2009 where he was instrumental in turning the Company around.

Since becoming the CEO of Magal Engineering in India in 2012, Sridhar is responsible for growing the company in India as well as the auto component business operations at Magal Tech, India.

General Manager, Dauphinoise Thomson SAS

A French engineering graduate, Jean-Michel has 33 years’ experience in the automotive industry. His career began at Renault and then Tier 1 suppliers including Lebranchu, Sofedit, ThyssenKrupp and Sofedit.

Jean-Michel ensures the growth of the Company and its profitability through customer satisfaction, managing the plants day-to-day activities including commercial and product development.

Leading the workforce, ensuring they are well trained and operating in the best working conditions, collaborating as a team and continuously improving are all aspects of business implementing lean principles that Jean-Michel is responsible for.

He also contributes to the wider Magal Group of companies, helping enable each plant works with a great level of autonomy and is financially self-sufficient.

Andy Tonks profile picture

Magal Engineering Group CCO

Andy is a versatile and highly accomplished sales, management and engineering professional with more than 30 years’ experience in the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industry.

As group sales and commercial director, Andy has responsibility to deliver the new business growth strategy across all the Magal Group companies on an international level, working closely to develop collaborative relationships with a wide and diverse portfolio of customers, and leading the sales and project teams to breakthrough results.

Reporting directly to the CEO, his remit covers sales, commercial, and programme management delivered through a cross-functional global team. Additionally, Andy is responsible for all marketing activities for the Magal Group, incorporating digital and presentation media, website, social media and creative customer engagement.

Rainer Juraschka profile picture
Rainer Juraschka
EMEA Sales Manager

Rainer joined Magal Engineering in 2007 as key account manager before becoming our Europe, Middle East and Africa sales manager in 2015.

In this role, he has responsibility to manage and create growth from Magal customers, manage non-OEM customers, look after a number of key accounts, plus identify new opportunities across the world.

As well as this, Rainer manages projects throughout the Magal products portfolio on a day-to-day basis.

Technical Director, Thermo Management, Dauphinoise Thomson SAS

After a number of years in the aerospace industry for thermal, mechanical and vibration simulation, Florent joined DURA as project manager in 2002 at the Dauphinoise Thomson plant in Grenoble, France.

He has grown in-line with Magal, working successively as R&D functional manager, R&D process manager, before becoming group technical director for thermo management in 2014.

Florent is responsible for all technical aspect of the Group’s thermo management activity leading the development of product strategy, innovation, product and process development and support.
